Beloved brothers and sisters in Yeshua!
Greetings and love from Mexico! How are you all doing? We do hope you are all well by the grace of Elohim our God and Father!
We are very happily married and very thankful! The Lord gives us His overflowing cup and His mercies are new every morning :) He alone is worthy of ALL praise!
Marriage before the law
We are married since September 16th 2023 and some days earlier before the law of the Netherlands.
It went all very nicely and beautiful! At the last moment we decided to ask for a possibility to read our vows as a testimony, that was okey, so we did it in front of both of our parents and a government official.
When I saw this little video of us saying “Yes”, I actually never saw myself so happy!
“Let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us...”
Psalms 90:17
“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”
Isaiah 60:1-2
This was and is our prayer and desire, that His light and glory will be seen upon us, so people will come unto HIM.. Yeeeh!
After the marriage at the law we had a nice family lunch with our parents, there was peace and joy by His grace and Holy Spirit. It was a day of forgiveness, joy and restoration, HalleluYah!
Welcoming our American brothers and sisters from our community into The Netherlands
Later on we received our American brothers and sisters from our community/fellowship, who stayed with us in our different tents. And much more brothers and sisters came along.
Our elder initially thought they couldn't come because of the many responsibilities for the community, but in the end they came anyway (but for a shorter time) with their two lovely children :) Also our brother Dominic (who is like an angel to us) and brother Mordechai stayed with us. We had a little community and even more believers came over several times. We made a big fire, worshipped and the elder answered many questions and so :) They were all such a blessing to us and it was very nice all together!
Corrie Ten Boom House
We went together to visit the “Corrie ten Boom house” in Haarlem where they hid some of the Jews in World War 2. It was very educational, good for us and the children. It was beautiful to see how driven the Ten Boom family was to put the words of Yeshua into practice, to really love your neighbor. Really encouraging. Further we had nice walk-and-talks :) and the children had a lot of fun together aswel.

My husband was working and I was praying that the Lord would reveal to him His plan for the wedding. That same day he came back from his work and he said "I've got a whole plan for the wedding", so the Lord did reveal His plan unto him, HalleluYah!
At work I (Gerard) saw the wedding happening right before my eyes (in my mind), by the Grace of God. I saw the Tabernacle, this was a tent in the wilderness where God was among his people in the Old Covenant (and only the high priest could come in Gods presence with a sacrifice, a lamb, one time a year for the forgiveness of His people), this was a shadow picture of the heavenly Tabernacle and we know that Yeshua went into this heavenly Tabernacle with His own blood, as the Lamb of God for the forgiveness of the whole world, for everyone who believes in the Son of God and repent of his/her sins and start a new life with Yeshua as our Example to follow after.
We also know that Yeshua will come back as the Bridegroom to gather His people as His bride and that we meet each other in the sky. So I saw a combination of the following Bible verses as a beautiful wedding (my oldest brother also sent me a confirmation that same day, by sending a video about Revelation 11):
“And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament...”
Revelation 11:19
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

A whole team of brothers and sisters came to help us on our wedding day (which started at 2:30 pm) and at the day before aswel. We celebrated the wedding in a horse arena.
Our beloved brother Arthur took spontaneously a moment to bless us and asked others to come forward aswel, so many did and this touched our hearts and made us cry from joy :)
We asked our sisters to bake pies and so for us, so we were very blessed with a long table filled with all kind of beautiful “yummehs”, thanks sisters! And my mum ordered wedding cakes from the bakery aswel for us :)
Also we wanted to serve Biblical food, so we had chosen “Bread & Fish”. Our brothers from “Taste of Paradise” served different kind of warm and cold fish, out of the oven baked bread. We were able to use the kithen from the campsite restaurant and the owners were very kind and willing to us, by Gods grace! We had a lot of baskets with bread left over and even the fish, just how we read this in the Bible ;) HalleluYah!
The wife of our elder, was such a blessing to me. She helped me with preparing for the wedding, with all kind of things. But also with “relaxation” we took a yummeh mud-bath at a private small beach closely to our tents. She gave me a massage the evening before our wedding and advice, love and prayers and so on :) Praise the Lord for His mercies endures forever!
There came around 144 people or maybe even more people to our wedding! It was very blessed! I think some pictures and short videos will tell more then hundreds of words, so you could have a look if you like to taste and see that He is GOOD! That was our whole desire for our wedding actually… that all the people would “Taste and see”, the brothers made stickers with this text (in Dutch) and put it on all the white paper cups :):):)
So to me this was such an encouragement: after our wedding our neighbor spoke to me about our wedding and she had many questions and she was just so different now. So I said: “Wow you have tasted and seen that He is good”, even though she could only see some minutes of our wedding SHE DID TASTE and see and it encouraged me, just knowing that all the others did the same! Later we were able to testify also to her boyfriend just before leaving our campsite (where we were about 6 months).
Short after our wedding we left to Mexico Cancun (because the Lord opened a door for us to enter in) to evangelies and encourage the believers there, with our brother Dominic. About Cancun, we will write in the next blog.
We really do feel at home here in Mexico. We are now at a different location, surrounded with a lot of Mennonite brothers and sisters! More of this also in the next blog.
We hope to add here later on parts of our Audio Bible (in Dutch), testimonies and my (renewed :) songs. Let everything that has breath praise Yahweh!
